Gesneriad Society Discussion Panel

Join the cast of characters from the Gesneriad Society here in the greater Seattle area and ask questions, learn propagation and cultural techniques from the local masters!

Orchid Basics          

There are two sessions for this, and these discussions will focus on care, growing conditions, plant health, sprinkled with nuggets of interesting information about orchid cultivation, history, science and other fun tidbits.

Joe Grienauer is the owner of Emerald City Orchids and has been in the orchid business for more than a decade.

Ben Johnson is the co-owner of Standard Orchid, a local Orchid focused tissue culture laboratory, successful cultivator and speaker.

Monstera culture and new growth forms          

Learn more about Monstera culture, and the various wonderful forms that until recently cost too much money (and some still do) Josh will walk you through the various forms of different species of this plant.
